Hello. I'm unable to post in the classified section. So please excuse me for posting this here.

Long story, short... By 7am (9/17) Monday morning, all vehicles on my block need to be moved in order for street repairs to be performed. If not, it will get towed. The problem? My 96 has a broken diff. I have nowhere to put it. No friends or relatives with space for me to tow it to. Can't even sell it to a cars for cash place, as the earliest they can get it is late Monday morning. So instead of the city of Philadelphia taking it, I'd rather it just go to a good home. I love this truck but I have no other options.

96 Explorer 2-door, manual transmission. 155,000 miles. Clean title. Tons of work performed on it. New brakes, lines, calipers. New clutch. New slave cylinder. New tires. Emission work done to pass NJ inspection. Has sat for the last 2 years. Engine is perfect, transmission is perfect. Everything works. It's just that the diff is blown and seized. So it needs to be towed.

Whoever wants it, come get it. 100 bucks? 50? 0? I don't even care. I'm just so angry right now. Given even one extra day's notice would have provided me some more options. It's listed on CL Philly if you'd like to see pics and more info. Thank you.

GLWTS there. I hope someone can help you, even if they take it and fix it to sell it back to you.

Bump for a good cause.

If it is worth keeping and fixing, you could rent a 10'x20' mini storage unit near you to rope tow it to, to fix it in. IE, purchase a diffy and swap it out.
I'm glad that I have 2 acres at work and 4 acres at home when it has to do with keeping extra vehicles. I don't like all of the mowing and tree trimming though...

If I lived closer I'd take it, throw a used diff in it and sell it back to you.

Rent a dolly. Tow it to a shopping mall, or something similar, and park it there until you can bring it home.
I have a large Walmart parking lot a couple of miles up the road or Casino parking, more secure and less noticeable, a couple of miles more.

Park it at a 24/7 Walmart where the Employees park. Just make sure your license plate is up to date. Surely there is a member here near him that could get it and fix it for him for a modest price.

what Street? im by Broad and Girard.

ironically we ***** about the pot holes and crap roads in philly but when they repave them its the worst times.

I'm on Stella, off of Frankford. Quiet little dead-end street next to a school. No one showed up from the city today to do any work, so the truck is still here. Wondering if the city waits until late night/early morning to do it's towing.
