1998 Explorer code P0715

I've looked all over the forums and searched the internet extensively. I can't find the exact answer I'm looking for, so I figured I'd join the forum and post the question. My 98' Explorer is bringing up the code P0715, along with symptoms of not shifting correctly, the 4x4 lights flash while I'm driving and when I come to a stop I hear a thump when it downshifts. I know p0715 is the Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit. I can not figure out where the speed sensor is located. I've read posts where the sensor is inside the transmission, I've read posts where the sensor is outside the trans on top by the drivers side. I was going to go buy the sensor and replace it tomorrow but I don't have a clue what it looks like or where its located.

1998 Explorer 4x4, 4.0L, 4 door, I don't know what transmission is in it.

The Turbine Speed Sensor is inside the trans mounted in the center support. 7M101
Trans is a 5R55E
