Hi, I have been having problems with overheating. To this point I have changed the radiator, hose's, water pump and thermostat. After driving 20-30 miles engine starts to overheat. If I turn the heater on the temp goes down. Thought it could be head gasket or cracked block but changed oil and there is no indication of water in the oil. So at this point I need some insight of what I may have overlooked

Check the fan clutch too

changing radiator

I had a mechanic replace the radiator and would assumed he would have checked the clutch, also same mechanic replaced hoses and once again thought they would have purged the system. But in this day and age one never knows. Really appreciate all the input this forum provides.
