I recently purchased a 1999 Explorer with the AM/FM/CD/Cass head unit. From what I understand, this head unit can also control a cd changer (but I could be wrong). I would like to add a cd changer and retain the existing head unit as the controller. Are the 1999 Explorers pre-wired for an OEM cd changer in the console? Is the OEM changer decent? From what I understand, there is also a changer that Crutchfield sells that can be controlled by the stock head unit - is it the same as the OEM changer or better/worse? Thank you for your help.
