1999 Explorer Door Lights

Hi guys ! I thought I was upgrading from my 1996 explorer to the a newer 1999 explorer , it turn out that the 99 has less than the 96 , so my question I want to replace the front red door reflector on my 99 from y 96 which has a red/clear with light and the 99 is just a reflector , so where would I tap the wire from since the 99 was not equipped and does not have the wire ?

You need a full time hot lead. Then you need to tie into the ground which is switched by the plunger switch in the door jamb. That way it will come on when the door is opened.
