I have a 1999 Explorer sport which I am planning on updating the audio system in, so far I have decided to go with as follows..

-Head Unit - Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD
-Speakers - (x4) Sony XS-GTX6932 GTX Series 6"x9" 3-way speakers
-Subwoofer - (x1) JL audio 10W3v3-2 10" 2 Ω
---Will be going into a stealthbox located in the rear-right cargo space
-Amp - still undecided...
-I will also be putting in a 4pc 7 Color LED Car Interior Light system from ledunderbody.com

I feel very confidante in my wiring/installing skills however I still am uncertain about a few parts.

Some questions...
-How do I decide what gauge wire I will need to wire the sub/amp
-I have seen some people use volt meters and capacitors, any real reason for doing soo??
-What brand and powered amp should I go with to power the sub?
-Do the sony speakers come as a pair? and they are all in one speakers correct?
-Anything else I may need to get this system running?(only other thing I can think of is a fused power wire for the amp)
