I've got the engine back together from the broken intake manifold bolt fiasco. I was missing the EVAP hose to the canister when I got it running so capped the vacuum port. I found the hose the next day melted to the exhaust manifold. I now need the new connector for the end of the hose to be able to connect it again. We've been driving the vehicle the past 4 days with the evap hose going nowhere. Shouldn't I be getting a CEL from not having it hooked up? If it doesn't generate a CEL, I've actually been thinking of leaving it unhooked. Any harm in doing so besides gas fumes going into the skies? Seems like another source for a vacuum leak is all.
