1st of many stereo questions

Hey fellas, just picked up a 97 XLT last week and it's time to get my stereo in. If any of you have routed 0-gauge from the front to rear please tell me how you ran it. Also, I need to hook up my amp temp gauge and volt meter. I noticed the fuse block is right next to the A-pillar. Can I tap my power leads to that, or do you recommend a better power source? I'll warn you now that I'm going to have a TON of ??'s about this, as this vehicle is totally different than my last. Also, if anyone has any URLS, or pics of Explorers with high-end stereo installs, please send them to me. I have to design a new enclosure and amp rack also. THANKS!

Well this is off of a 97 Mercury Mountaineer which is basically the same thing. http://www.3drant.com/about/jay/Mountaineer/ He has some neet ideas on how things work, and also lays out some of the wiring.
