2.0 Ecoboost Alternator Replacement

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on alternator replacement methods on a 2012 EcoBoost Explorer. The 2.0 EcoBoost's don't seem to have a lot of info on them, or I just don't have good enough search skills. I recently updated the turbo and found some good videos, so I'm surprised not to find something on what used to be as simple swap not covered yet. The cost of a rebuilt alternator was an unpleasant surprise though. Maybe these don't go bad that often? Any general help would be great - start from the top or the bottom? Either way it looks like it's pretty buried and there's a fair amount of disassembly to look forward to. Thanks in advance!
