2.9 L idles fast

My son has a 90 bronco 2 with the 2.9 L .Its been idling fast and the throttle stop is backed away from linkage and still idles fast

have you tryed changing the idle air control valve?

A vacuum leak could do that. Any missing caps or hoses on the vacuum tree?

Make sure that the throttle (butterfly) valve is not all carboned up and not letting it close all the way. Auto stores sell a spray solvent that will get rid of the crud.

Thanks for the suggestions guys..It was a vacumme leak ,there was a hose just laying there, i didnt see it first time i looked under hood Thanks Doug
