2 electrical connectors behind stero

Just wondering if anyone happens to know what these 2 connectors are for.
This one is behind the stereo on the passenger side, near top of glove box.

Also, were all Explorers pre-wired for fog light switches? I think i can see the bulb connectors under the front bumper, but can't see anything in the dash.
 






Don't know about fog light switches, but your top picture looks like the TOD (torque on demand) module connector that energizes the electromagnetic clutch in 4WD transfer case (if so equipped) and the 2nd connector is for the dash 4WD mode selector switch, again if equipped with 4WD. See attached diagram.
