2000 AWD Xploder from Turbo back to NA

Well the front wipers should start and stop at the same point, and during operation stop at the same point at the bottom of the event. The wipers are controlled by the GEM module, entirely I believe.

I don't understand what you are saying is wrong. Did yours park at some point other than the bottom?

When mine are on intermittent, they stop at the bottom/park point, until the next wipe. If I shut the wipers off then, they do not move, because they are already at the park location.

Yeah I think I was confused lol... It looked as if my front wipers were stopping to high up on my window as the bottom but perhaps that is just normal and I never really noticed it lol.

You can make it park at any point you like, I moved mine about seven years ago. Take the arms off, and rotate them to where you want them to park. I suggest just one tiny bi from the bottom. You don't want them to lay down onto the plastic, off of the glass.

Awesome... I did not know that could be adjusted. Thank you! I'll have to take a look at it this weekend.

It just takes a tiny screwdriver, or very strong fingernail.;) Stand up the arm, and at the base find the tiny little tang(it's the lock), and pull/move it outward a bit. When that is pulled out slightly, the whole arm slips off easily. It's splined, so put it anywhere and see how the arm lays down.

^ awesome.. Thank you!

I think I'm cursed.. Damn driver side wheel now squeaks on right turns.. Just started today out of nowhere, lol.. Wtf.

Also.. Amazon sent me my replacement plugs (they sent me 2 plugs instead of 2 packs of 4)... Instead of getting 2 packs of 4 on round 2 I got... 2 plugs... AGAIN. Lol. Called and it seems some kind of glitch and I got a refund plus $10 back and get to keep the 4 plugs already received, woohoo!

:)

yea, our trucks are old. I just wasted a bunch of time on my door actuator inside my drivers door. long story short, I cant lock my door and need a new assembly. I feel for ya (and me).

Yeah.. Lol.

I had issues with my drivers door a while ago... Wife broke the entire exterior handle off. I replaced it and I couldn't open door from the outside.. Ended up having to replace the spring inside the door, well, I hooked a throttle spring to the door lock lever and back of handle and it works beautifully now.

I probably should have found a spring, and just gone your route.
I did manage to get a whole assembly new for $80.00 after taxes. could have saved myself the $80.00 though.

Ouch, prices have gone up. I was buying lots of those kind of wear parts for my Mountaineer about 2-4 years ago. I know how Ford obsoletes most parts.

I paid about $22 each for the door handles, $35ish for the front door latches, and around $65 for the back hatch mechanism. The rear quarter glass was $450 each, so you better save those now. LF door glass was $110, the rubber trim wasn't bad except for the rear door small windows(glass and seal). Those ran about $150 each.

I'm sure it's all obsolete now.

Yeah... Talk about expensive... Though, I think I paid something like $5 for the spring I used (it came with 1 or 2 additional springs that could also work if need be on other doors). I think I got the door handle for $20 on rockauto and had it painted for a few dollars at a body shop.

I'm not looking forward to refreshing my suspension as I've never really worked on a suspension before and may blow something up, lol... Going to wait until I get my SVTf back before I do though in the event it takes me some length of time to complete lol.

Had some time this morning to get "some" work done on the Xploder. It was so damn hot that I didn't get around to diving into installing the 1" IMF spacer yet (one day, lol).

I put in some fresh Autolite 764 copper spark plugs, Taylor 8mm Spiro-Pro Spark Plug Wires, Moroso wire clip things, heat resistant "socks", AMSOIL dry air filter, and the 90mm LMAF. Took longer than it should as I was also keeping my eye on the kids as they ran all over the place and from the melting TN heat.

I tried to run the spark plug wires fairly neatly and I think it turned out pretty decent overall. I have not started the car up yet as it turned out my tune from Henson had the wrong serial number in the tune file (started with XP and not X3) and was unable to load it into my SCT3 :-/

I def need to replace that crusty coolant overflow tank with something nice before too long.. It just looks like crap and sits in all goofy lol.

That looks good. Hopefully those heat socks will protect the wires for a long time.

Yeah, I hope so! They seem of real good quality so I think they should.

It was nice that the Taylor wires came with 4 heat socks (for the 4 longest wires) which let me stack 2 socks on those 4 long wires as they come into the most contact with the headers and it let me run heat socks up the wire for a good amount of length to make sure they easily clear any heat source.

Also.. I noticed my front suspension sits on the rubber stops at rest.. Is that normal? I know Justin lowered the front of the truck to it's lowest setting or something with the torsion key (I think that's what he said).. How the heck do I raise it back up some so I have "some" movement up front and don't bottom out all the time?

Looks like I need to adjust the torsion adjustment bolts or something a few times to lift her up a little so I get some movement.. Don't want it too high as I like the stance lol :D

That is pretty low, I'd raise it up a bit.

Yeah, def need to look into doing that tomorrow... Right now if I go too quick over any kind of dip/bump the car feels like it will explode or something haha.

I rarely have bottomed out in front, that usually takes a sharp low speed turn with a bump like a curb to force one tire up into the bump stop. I easily bottom out in the back on minor dips with any speed.

The back is the tough end, at stock height there is little travel before hitting the stops.
