I've searched and searched, but cannot find what I am looking for. Can anyone tell me exactly what I will need to perform a 2" drop on my 2000 Explorer? Does the 2000 have springs or leaf suspension? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you search in the "useful threads' forum, you'll be able to find a nice write-up with pictures by hydroxy. Your Explorer has leaf springs in the rear that are sprung under. You need a block in between the leaf springs and the axle to lower the rear. The front has torsion bars. You just need to crank the t-bars to lower them. Then you'll need an alignment.

Where can I get blocks? And what do you use to crank down the torsion bar?? I know barely anything about suspension...

Dead Link Removed :)

You can buy the blocks from explorerexpress.com and at many auto stores. The torsion bars are adjusted by a ratchet and socket.
