Hi all, I’m new here. Been lurking for a bit and found a handful of threads about somewhat similar problems but it seems everyone is talking about the shifter.
My 2000 Explorer started... slamming? into park. When I go to park, especially on an incline, 3/5 times the truck will roll. then *CLUNK*. and roll and clunk like it’s slamming into park until eventually it catches or until i put the parking brake on and prevent it from rolling.
Could this be the parking pawl? Or am I looking at a bigger issue here.
