My 2000 Ford Explorer stays running even after I turn the key to the off position.

How do I get my truck to shut off?

What's won't with my truck? & if I get it turned off will it start back up?

Welcome to the forum

If the engine will not turn off when you switch off the key, I would tap on the PCM relay to see if that gets it to turn off. Sometimes a relay will stick closed.

However I really think you might have a problem with the ignition switch, located in the steering column behind the ignition lock.

This thread "might" help you in solving your issue, or, at least show you where everything is located.

If you mean the engine continues to try to crank over even with the key turned off, then the issue is in the starter.

Yes The truck stays Running even when I turn it off and pull it out of the ignition.

I would pull the fuel pump relay to get it to shut off. I also think it's the ignition switch

I think I figured it out, I had A short in my drivers door.
