My 3 rd brake light is not working, the other 2 work, my 3rd light appears to have no ballast. what checks can I do? where is the ballast on the 2000? does it connect to the brake pedal switch too? is there a fuse for this circuit? .all I can find is info on 97 or older brake lights
thanks

Pretty sure by 2000 that high mounted brake light was LED, so no ballast involved. Only fuse is Fuse 13, but that would kill all your brake lights. Find the plug up near the top of the hatch and see if you have voltage there when you push on the brake pedal. That will help you localize trouble. Good luck.
