2000 mountaineer lift gate problem and A/C issue.

Alright, so I have a 2000 Mountaineer, I have two main issues right now, First being the liftgate not properly closing, I have to hold the handle and slam it shut for the dome lights to go off and the door ajar, but I can still pull up on it and will open slighty(like a car door barely shut), any advice on fixing this?

Next is the A/C I believe I have a leak, but at the shop I work in, we hooked our machine up to it and it held vac and we did a "sniffer" test and couldnt find a leak, I did have a bad in the low side valve which I replaced, but I still have a leak, about 2 weeks I will lose just enough not to cool properly then i'll have to top if it, whats the common leak spots? I plan on doing a UV dye test soon.

Front compressor seal is the main leaker, also check the condenser for stone or debris damage, all places with "O" ring couplings. The hardest one to replace is the evaporator but in most cases you can probe it for leaks with your sniffer.

The drier (accumulator) bottle could be corroded under the insulation foam, and might be leaking under pressure also,

Wouldn't I show a Leak under Vacuum as well?
