2001 4.0 transmission problems

i was driving in a store parking lot when i heard a spinning or grinding sound. now truck wont move in any gear(drive or reverse) auto trans? transfer case?
any help would be greatly appreciated

It is propably the transfer case motor. Do a search here and you can find a way to fix it for next to nothing.
You may be able to get it to shift if you tap the motor LIGHTLY .But you will need to take it out to fix it.

I'm not sure your shift motor would be implicated, but there is a good chance it is your transfer case.
