I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport that is having some stalling issues. I have taken it to 2 different mechanics and they both can not tell me whats wrong with it.
From my perspective, the way its stalling has to be the transmission. When I am coming to a stop at a red light or stop sign, it starts to bog down. What I am referring to is its acting like a standard transmission that is still in gear with out the clutch being engaged.
When ever I start it back up, it will keep dying unless I put it in reverse and back up about 10 - 15 ft. and then put it in drive and it is completely fine.
Any thoughts on what could be the culprit?
Thanks!
