2001 Sport 4x4 Gem CM???

Is a Gem Module and a 4x4 control module the same thing? i bought a 2001 sport 4x4 yesterday 4x4 not working. ive read on here all day n im confused about these two parts. where is module located? ( already set clock and found Keyless Entry code. thanks to you guys)

I believe they are the same. If I remember right, it's located in the cargo area on the drivers side behind the plastic panel. Hopefully someone can jump in and acknowledge or correct this.

The one in my 2000 is located right next to the radio inside the dash. I think rick is thinking about the rap module in the back. The one you got the keyless entry code off of.
