2001 Sport Trac driver's door window regulator replacement.

Hey, Dose anyone in here know anything about replacing the window regulator in the drivers door of an 01 Ford Explorer Sport Trac? The regulator is bent very badly. I am not sure how it got bent but the window will not roll down straight. The window tips forward in the track and upon inspection the regulator was warped into an "S" shape. I know it has to come out but I am unsure on how it is removed. I did notice some rivits on the inside under the door panel and along the window track itself where it apparently fastens to the lower part of the window. Please Help me if you can. Thanks

window regulator

did either of you get the info regarding the regulator removal? I think I need to remove the regulator to replace the power window motor. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You can replace the motor without removing the regulator. Send me an email with SPORT TRAC in the subject line and I'll send it to you.
