2002 explorer 4x4 v6 4.0

Hey all, glad to be here. I just purchased a 2002 ford explorer 4x4 v6 4.0 . It was bought from a police dept that used it as a k-9 unit. It has 90000 miles on it. It is in great shape. Almost unbelieveable. I paid 4500 for it. That seems like a pretty good deal to me. Is this accurate ? I am looking to purchase some new tires and am looking at some Goodyear wranglers 265 75 16 . Will they fit? The cool thing is the explorer still
has spotlight. I like it anyway. I would appreciate any help in these matters. Comments

curious myself...I know it's been posted on here many times that 255 70 16's will fit and most say 265 70's will with a slight rub at full steering wheel lock. With the stock 235's the tire seems pretty close to the "steering knuckle?" like some more input from people who did it on a 3rd gen
