I have a 2002 explorer XLT that was not starting, turns out it was a bad fuel pump. I had the fuel pump replaced and it started right up and at first my fuel gauge was not registering, after about 24 hours it seems to have corrected it self.
But when I went to the gas station to pump gas it takes about 20 cents then stops. I tried re positioning the pump handle and even tried multiple pumps to stations. I still have the same problem and it takes 20 minutes to pump $10 gas. This issue started after the fuel pump was replaced. I see posts about "Evaporative Emissions Purge Solenoid", purge valves, blocked screens etc.
Can anyone help narrow down the possibilities???
