I replaced a battery in one of my key fobs and the remote did not work. I still had one working fob. I looked up the programming sequence and gave it a try. The first time, my good fob worked as described and the bad one with a new battery did not get any response from the Explorer. I tried it again and this time neither fob gets a response. Now I have two fobs that do not unlock the Explorer. I have thought about disconnecting the battery and programming again but I am concerned that I will lose the keyless entry pad that currently works just fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Update:
After looking through the forum, I decided to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. When I went to do so, I discovered that the negative terminal was not very tight. When I tightened up the bolt, the programming of the fob worked perfectly. Now I am back to two working keys for the Ex.
