Hello everyone, an old Ranger guy joining up. Thanks for having me. So, I have a 2002 Ford Ranger.
Lately, my temp gauge has been acting strangely. When I first start my truck, the engine temp will be on "C" and cold as usual. Within 5-10 minutes, the temperature has risen all the way up to "H" and the "check gauge" light will come on...
30-60 seconds later, it drops back down to the middle and there seems to be no problem at all.
However, when I am on the interstate and the heater is on, sometimes it will start climbing back up. Not to "H", but it will be about 3/4 of the way up, approaching the "H" before going back down. Other than that, everything is running fine with no differences in performance.
Any ideas?
