2002 XLT Message Center

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the 2002 message center.

I've read through the fourms all the way back, and discovered alot of helpful information, and flipped through the manuals for info, but cannot find an answer.

Can I replace the existing cluster with a message center cluster and add the switches to get a working message center?

From the schematics it seems straight foward, but my concen is if the PCM needs to have a code set to make it work. I read in one message where someone adding features needed to have an appropriate vin codes to activate features on the explorer, and wanted to find out if this is the case for the message center since they are connected on the bus.

Yes I'm trying to do the same thing but can't get any help anywhere if it can be done on the 1st and 2nd genoration why not the 3rd. Can somebody please help us

Ok can anybody tell me if I get a full dash cluster with everything from a E\B. and replaced it in my XLT would everything work correctly
