2003 Eddie Bauer 4x4 351CJ???

I have an 03 Eddie Bauer 4x4 4.0 that is my daily driver. I also have an old desire to "be able" to go fast if needed! Now there is this 351CJ from my old 72 Mach1 just sitting in my garage on a stand since 1988... Hmmm. What do you guys think? How much do you think it might cost to do this right and keep the A/C?...

We did a 351 on a second gen ourselves it costed roughly $2000 and it was a nightmare. the finished product was awesome but, it took nearly 6 months of troubleshooting to work out the kinks. I ABSOLUTELY wouldn't try to rush trough it, and make sure that you have a dependable vehicle to drive for a long time.

If you have a C6 to bolt up to the 351 and can find or fabricate the adapters to hook it up to the transfer case you might be able to do it. I would plan on scrapping a lot of the electronics.

It is probably more trouble than it is worth. Just trade it for a 4.6 version and build the motor.
