2003 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 Battery light on dash question

Light on dash came on for the battery. I replaced the battery but light is still on . How do I get it to shut off.

You sure your not having a problem with your alternator?

Take it in to a auto parts store for a quick charging test... they will most likely do it for free.

the new battery has been in for over a month now and it seems fully charged by the alt. the lights dont dim at all when cranking it over. what i might do is put my meter on the battery and make sure when its running i am getting 14 volts. and with it off it should only be putting out 12 volts plus or minus
