2003 Sport Trac engine/Trans swap

Have 2003 Sport Trac 4.0sohc 4X4. 265k miles. Timing issue, coolant in oil.
Have 2004 Explorer donor . Want to swap out engine and transmission.
What issues will this create?

Is the 04 Explorer also 4.0? If so you could swap the engine from the 04 into your 03 but keep your 03-5R55E transmission, valve covers, intake set up, wiring harness, etc, from your 03 engine to put on the 04 engine. The 04 explorer transmission will be different.
