2004 4.0 Code P0302

see if the vlI have a 2004 with 18K miles. I just starrted getting code P0302. This is a misfire on cylinder 2. So I changed the plugs, wires, coil pack and injector. No help. I did a compression test and all is good. I put a node light on the injector and its firing. So whats next? Im going to pull the valve cover to see if the valves are opening. Did anyone ever take the passenger valve cover off? Looks like the plenum has tro come off. Any help anyone?

Is it actually misfiring? Have you done a cylinder balance test (i.e. pull one injector or plug wire at a time and note what happens to the RPMs) to ensure it isn't firing?

I dunno what to tell ya...If you have spark at the plugs, fuel in the cylinder, and compression, by all rights, it should fire.
