2004 Explorer starting issue

I recently did a transplant 4.0 into the Explorer from an 08 Mustang. Sometimes when I go to start it there is nothing but a click when turning the key. If I pull the shifter with key turned forward a time or two it will then start. What should I adjust or look to adjust or lube the linkage?

Your linkage is slightly off, Have a friend help you getting it line up a little bit.
