2004 Explorer XLT
So I cannot get my 2004 Ford Explorer XLT to stop an engine squeak. So far I have changed my belt 2x, changed my Idler Pulley, and now changed out my Tensioner pulley and the tensioner arm. I'm stuck don't know what else to look at for the squeak. I'm attaching a video of the sound and I'm pointing to where I'm thinking the squeak is.

Thanks for any help

I will be following this thread as I have the same squeak.

Could be water pump bearings ...

If you can get a hold of a mechanics stethoscope you might be able to narrow it down. Even a big screwdriver or piece of copper tubing that you can put your ear to. Sure sounds like a dry bearing.

That’s what I did. The stethoscope was only $10 and led me straight to the tensioner. Took all of 30 minutes to swap it out and put on a new belt.

Hardest part of the job was getting the new belt on.
