2004 Ford Explorer
New to the forum! My 2004 Explorer was working fine for a few minutes this morning before I took off for work, but as soon as I hit the highway... everytime I would attempt to accelerate it would rev up higher than usual and accelerate VERY slow when I would first ease into pressing the pedal ... also it would take me nearly pressing all the way to the floor to pick up to a speed suitable for the highway . I looked up the year of my truck and apparently it has a timing chain instead of belt . Could that be the issue ? Air filter clogged ? Anything ? Anybody ? Thanks

What size engine do you have, how many miles on it, it's highly unlikely it's your timing chain, have you checked your air filter to make sure it's not plugged, is it an automatic tranny and have you had any work done to it?.
