I was just wondering if a 4.O Ranger engine would fit my 2004 Ranger w/3.0. I have the opportunity to purchase a 2004 4.0 engine and 5 speed trans from a wrecked Ranger. It has 88k mileage but my plans were to rebuild the engine and trans. I know there would be issues with the fuel lines, engine electronics, California Smog certs. Are the engine mounts the same? I guess I could go on and on. My 3.0 has about 150 hp and I have read that the 4.0 has around
200 hp. That would be a nice boost
