I’ve had something a little weird happen three times now while driving on the interstate. Every time I was driving at 70 MPH with the cruise control engaged. It sounded like the transmission went into neutral and then shifted back into drive with a jerk/clunk. This happens pretty quick and I wasn’t able to see if the RPM actually went up or not.
I have no idea what caused this but I suppose the possible explanations could be the transmission or the 4X4 engaging. I’ll keep an eye on this but it seems to be very intermittent. From the first time this happened to the second time was about 500 miles. I currently have 5000 miles on my X.
Any ideas?
