2005 Ford Explorer XLT
Hey,
I have a 2005 Explorer XLT and 6 months ago, I tried both the rear wiper and the sprayer and neither worked. Took it to a shop and they suggested replacing the multifunction switch, which I proceeded to replace to the same results. I find it weird that both went out at the same time. Also, my owners manual does not show a fuse or relay for both functions together. Any ideas on what to check next?
Thanks!
Owen

Central junction box:
F2.4, 5A for front wiper microprocessor.
F2.15, 5A to the rear microprocessor
Battery junction box F1.21, 30A to front wiper motor.
BJB F1.30, 20A to the rear wiper motor
Front wiper motor has a relay which interconnects to a relay in the rear wiper motor to run the washer pump either forwards or backwards, and the rotation chooses which tube gets water.
There is a washer pump relay in the rear motor and one in the front motor.
Both of them have a microprocessor because it's so much easier and cheaper than just running a f'n wire from a switch.
