Hmm, I doubt it, but I don't really know what's out there. Why not just swap the whole driveline, so youll have a trans and tcase that can handle the v8?

Nope, the 4.0 transmission won't bolt up to the 302.

Easy path is to use an AWD Explorer 5.0 engine, trans and t'case -- all but bolts in except for the drive shafts. Very possible to exchange the AWD case for a "real" t-case if wanted.

Advance Adapters does make an adapter to use the Ranger's t-case with the 4R70W from the Expo doner.

The real difficulty is in getting the Ranger dash to use data from the much older tech 5.0 PCM.

thank's for your reply , is there a drive line for a 302 that will bolt up under my 2006 4x4 ranger ?

see SoHK's post above, it right on.
Have you searched around, here and Google? There's plenty of Rangers that have been V8-ed. Most may not be as late model as yours, but...

Most of the 02 up ranger V8 swaps I have read about use the 4.6L or 5.4L.

will a 5.0L 302 v8 motor , the automatic transmission and transfer case out of a 1990 F-150 4x4 pick-up bolt into my 2006 ford ranger 4x4 pick-up

No, your going in the wrong direction for your year truck. You need to find a driveline from a 2004 or newer truck to swap in to even get the wiring close to work. If your stuck on a 302 swap then look for an 02 and before ranger.

so your saying other than the wiring being a night mare , the 1990 F-150 4X4 motor , transmission and transfer case would bolt into my 2006 4X4 ranger . i also want to say thank's for your help .

No it will not bolt in. You need a 96-01 5.0 explorer if you want it to bolt on.

The f150 transfer case, everything on the belt drive, motor mounts, exhaust and intake manifolds ect won't work in your ranger. Also f150 trans won't work unless it's an AOD. Your waisting time considering using anything but explorer or newer f150, crown Vic ect (04+ 4.6) drivetrain.
