Hey guy's, I've got a radio from my buddies 06 Ranger that I wanted to put in my dads 98 F-150 for him. I put it all in and everything to my absolute shock worked. Except the radio itself.
I get radio silence, then it will fade in and play ok then cut out again for a minute or two and come back for a few seconds etc. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? I read something about the factory Ranger radio requiring a ground strap, is this the case?
Also I saw there are 2 plugs on the back of the Ranger setup, I only used the larger one in the F-150 but I'm assuming the second plug must be for a CD changer and or maybe a sub?
