my explorer interior plastic has faded spots. 186,000 miles always parked out side. the plastic at the top of door (bottom of side window), has faded. any off the counter stuff to bring its color back?

You can try the product Wipe New on it. I am getting ready to use it on the sun damaged end covers of my roof rack and am sure that it would take care of your issues too.

Mine are faded also. I don't think the "Wipe New" will fix this deal. AND - don't use the heat gun trick that you will find on YouTube. Although this will bring back a slight bit of the color, it will more so melt your textured panel.

Here's my plan:

I'm going to remove the door panels (the YouTube video is self-explanatory and the procedure only takes about 10 minutes), get some color-match interior trim paint, mask off the bottom 2/3 of the panel, and repaint both door panels.

THEN, I'm going to have my front windows tinted to match the rest of the windows so that this will never happen again.

Just my plan.
