2007 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4wd question

Ok so the 4wd does not work in my explorer. If you push the button for 4 high the light will come on but it doesn't engage. if you push for 4 low it will shift into low but still no 4wd. Any ideas? Thanks

Be sure you put it in Neutral first, then click the button, then after it engages, shift to drive.
