2007 Strut Assembly Question

Need sturts on my 07 Sport Trac XLS 2WD V6. My question is the Strut Assembly struts and coil springs for the 07 Explorer the same as for the 07 Sport Trac. Amazon has the assembly listed as Guaranteed to fit both the Sport Trac and the Explorer.

Monroe only lists the struts for the Sport Trac but the whole assembly for the Explorer. The whole assembly is part # 171125 and the strut is 71125 and the struts are the same number but no assembly # for the Sport Trac.

The price difference between the strut and the whole assembly is not that much and the assembly install would be easier.

the last time I looked into it,they are interchangeable. Not sure why different manufacturers don't include both.If you are interested you can check the different manufacturers cross over numbers,including motorcraft. That will guide you to the parts you need.
