I was wondering if ford wired the trucks for fog lights, even if they didn't come with them. It only would have been smart to do, and my dad is a parts guy at ford and says there is no wiring harness for the fog lights available, so I figured they have to be wired already. If anyone knows for sure can you let me know? Thanks!

Does nobody have an answer for this?

Sounds like you got a base model. Every XLT ive ever seen came with the fogs stock. I would expect the fog harness to be there, but why don't you just stick your head under the bumper and look? Takes 1 minute.

I was thinking the same thought. I had no reason to look under my bumper to check as my fog lights work.

I wonder if the OP's truck had a accident in it's past. Some shops might would install the new bumper and shave cost by not replacing the fog lights.

The truck has been in an accident before, and I believe they replaced the front bumper. It's a ford factory bumper, and has the vents where the fogs go/can go. The switch inside the truck is a switch without fog option. So you're saying there should be a harness behind the bumper already? Anyone know how to trace the harness? And all I should need is the fog light assembly and a switch and I'm hot to trot?

My fog lights turn on with a small pull on the head light switch when on the head light on position.

I realize that, but it has to have the switch that pulls out to do that, haha. But I need fog lights in order to turn them on. That's what I'm trying to figure out first

u sure this is an xlt?

Would it be possible for anyone to go out and trace their fog light wires and take a picture of where they go to/take a picture of where they are ran so I can compare my truck to it? It would be greatly appreciated and would help a lot!:)
