2002 Mercury Mountaineer
A few months ago I sold my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer and bought a 2008 Ford Explorer. I have a new teen driver and this is going to be the car that he drives.

I've had great luck with these vehicles and they seem to be perfect for the youthful driver.

I am planning to install a GPS locator in this vehicle. It requires a constant 12 volt wire. This device allows me to locate the vehicle remotely on demand. I'd like to wire in someplace inconspicuous. Where would be a good place to add it in?

Cigarette lighter has 12v constant and ground wire. I would splice it onto these wires.

Under the panel that the cigarette lighter is on. I believe in those explorers are in the panel around the shifter.
