2008 ford explorer third row seat headrest

One of my third row seat headrest will not stay up. I tried to repair it to no avail. Any suggestion?

Hmmmm? All that I know is that it is spring loaded to tilt down when you pull its strap. Sooooo, there has to be some detent that holds it up as it's normal penchant is to tilt down.

It wouldn't surprise me if all those pieces were made out of plastic and just broke. Sounds like you are in for peeling down the upholstery to take a look. Even then you might end up having to manufacture something as Ford is wont to not supplying component parts for many of its assemblies.
