2010 Mountaineer different spare tire size?

both of my '10s came with a 17" spare. I like to do a 5 tire rotation, its easy with one jack, imo you get a little better wear using the cross over pattern, overall they last longer. And if you have a major blow out after running them for 40k, rather than buying new tires you can switch to a 4 tire rotation.

It all fits, Class III here too.

Whats odd is the OEM rim for the '10 ST Chrome was $350; mounty 'platinum' chrome was $700 - WTF they are essentially the same thing just a different paint.

OT-i've got two 17" steelies/rubber free for pickup.

Since the spare is mounted on a 17" wheel, I may buy a 235/70-17 tire to replace the 245/65-17 spare. The diameter of a 235/70-17 is within 0.1" of the (4) 235/65-18 tires currently mounted on the vehicle. That would be cheaper and easier than finding the correct 18" wheel to use as a spare.
