Hi all. Im new here but have been reading this forum for awhile now and the absolute best info I've found anywhere is right here! I have a 2011 XLT and yesterday I parked and left the doors unlocked because I was coming right back to get something. My doors always automatically unlock and I've never had a problem. I came right back and the doors were locked for some reason. Went to driver door to use the keypad to get in since I had left the keys in the house but that door was unlocked. Ooening it I got the alarm warnin, then the alarm went off. This has never happened. My understanding based on the manual is that the alarm will only sound if an improper key is used to attempt to start it, or the driver door is unlocked with the key. Ive read about alot of others having issues with the keyless entry and alarm but nothing on this. Can anyone please help me understand what may have happened. Thanks!
