We have a 2011 Explorer Limited. While on a recent road trip, we had a rod extended between the two coat hanger hooks with "some", but very little clothes hanging on the rod. After less than 2 days of driving, one hook broke, and before I could exit the highway, the second hook broke. Went to my local Ford dealer when I got home and they want, wait for this......$179.00 EACH for the "unit" that the coat hanger hooks are part of. WHAT? Engineer a cheap piece of plastic, put an interior light in it and change $179.00 EACH. $358.00 so I can hang clothes in my Explorer. Anyone else have this issue? Other than just packing another suitcase, does anyone have a less expensive solution? Thanks.

Well, since the little plastic insert for the glovebox costs $41 at list, I'm not surprised at the cost of the hanger assembly.

I'd just make a couple little hooks to hang off the assist handles. Maybe some S hooks from home depot, or the like.
