It appears the APIM has died on my wife's 2012. It sounds like this is becoming a common problem, so I'd like to replace it with one that won't die again, which I believe means a 2015 or 2016 APIM. I've noticed the 2015 APIMs are missing a connector, the grey connector shown in the link below is gone on 2015 APIMs. Is this grey connector un-used on a 2012?

I'm looking into replacing it with a 2015 and using forscan to match change the ABD on the new APIM to what my old currently is. I currently have Nav and want to keep it as well.
