hum sounded like wheel bearing/hubs so I replaced both sides. The noise continued. Switched tires front to back, noise continues. Any ideas what else it might be??? Don't want ot spend money on half shaft if its a tranny issue???

I’m guessing it could be tranny gear whine or maybe ptu gear whine as gears or even bearings in there loosen up with the miles. Just a guess.

Guessing can be time consuming and costly. Does the noise change with engine or road speed? Some will put the car on stands or a rack to see if they can isolate the noise. Some without access to that will try some basic stuff like coasting in neutral to see if the noise changes and even cutting the engine to try and isolate just driveline noises (be careful not to lock the steering wheel and be mindful of loss of power assist features if you do this).

If you are handy enough to replace parts, but don't know what you are doing on the troubleshooting front, a lot of times you can get a low or no cost estimate from many local shops. You may want to consider that and see what the results are.
