My 2013 has terrible radio reception (recently purchase used). I read that many people replaced the antenna base to fix the problem. fordparts.com shows two parts for the base 18936A and 18936B. 18936A has a mast, 18936B does not. When I enter my build date and SYNC option into fordparts.com it only pulls up 18936 with no A or B designation. I would prefer B since the mast hits my garage door. Does anyone know if these bases are interchangable or does SYNC require the mast?
